Who we are
Strata is a product of Portico Advisers Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (16773767), 1 Westfield Ave, London E20 1HZ, United Kingdom. Portico is the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact: strata@porticoadvisers.com.
This notice covers this site (strata.porticoadvisers.com) and free assessments run in the Strata app (app.porticoadvisers.com). Portico’s main privacy policy at porticoadvisers.com covers our other services.
What we collect
- Assessment requests: your name, email address, firm and what you tell us about your screen.
- Site usage: anonymous statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting and network providers, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and operations.
- Free assessments: the email address you sign in with and the details you give on the assessment form. Your uploaded files and the finished assessment are handled as described under “Your materials and assessments.”
- Usage records: when an assessment was run, by which account, and with which sector lens. These records do not contain your materials or the content of your assessment.
This site sets no cookies. If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is stored only in your browser. The Strata app uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your request and decide whether to offer a free assessment (legitimate interests).
- To run the assessment you ask for and let you return to it (legitimate interests, and to take steps at your request).
- To follow up with you about Strata (legitimate interests; you can ask us to stop at any time).
- To keep the site and app secure and working (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Your materials and assessments
Your uploaded files are used only to produce your assessment. They are deleted when it finishes, or no more than 24 hours later if it is interrupted on our side. The finished assessment is stored so you can return to it.
Portico staff do not review your materials or assessments. We access them only if you ask us to, for example to look into a problem you report, or where needed to keep the service secure and working, or to meet a legal obligation.
To have an assessment deleted, email strata@porticoadvisers.com.
Who handles it for us
- Formspree: receives and forwards the request form.
- Google Workspace: our email.
- Attio: our record of requests and contacts.
- Render: hosts this site, the Strata app and its database.
- Cloudflare: DNS, site analytics, sign-in to the Strata app, and file storage.
- Anthropic: provides the AI models that analyze uploaded materials to produce an assessment.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK GDPR requires.
How long we keep it
- Requests and contact details: while relevant to our conversation with you, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact.
- Uploaded files: as described under “Your materials and assessments.”
- Finished assessments: until you or we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your personal information, and object to how we use it. Email strata@porticoadvisers.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This site and Strata are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date above.
